Montana Road Trip 2010, Chapter Forty-Seven

Well, I just finished going back and redoing all the photos from Da Mystery Road Trip Revealed from 2009.  I decided that I wasn’t happy with having all our photos messed up like that; and I’d worked too darn hard to upload them in the first place. I’m glad I did it. It took a long time, but it was worth it.

So now, here we are, back to our Montana Road Trip. Finally.

Tour de Fleece 2019

I wasn’t able to spin as much as I’d hoped to, but I did get some stuff done during this year’s TdF… my spinning challenge Numbah One was to finish spinning the red/yellow/pink braid and to work on continuing to spin Maxwell’s fleece. Who’s Maxwell? He was an adorable Shetland sheep that I met one day several years ago. You can read about him and his brother here.

So frustrated!!

So I happened to go back to some posts from about 2009, and found that all my photos have been blurred/watermarked by Photobucket. Because I’m now over their limit, which used to be free web-hosting. Which is why I added them there, because at the time it was easier to download my photos from there.  So now I have to go back and upload them from my computer (after I’ve found the right folders) and re-add them.

Which is why I haven’t been writing much. I’m also doing Tour de Fleece again this year and it’s been a busy summer…but I’m gonna try write here more often in between re-doing all my photos. Sheesh.

Stories, Numbah Two: Polo Ponies

It occurs to me, as I start to write these stories, that almost all of them are only in my head. They’ve made me part of who I am; I wish I knew more of my mom and dad’s stories, so I guess these are also really for my girls,  in case they ever wanna know stuff lidis. Maybe it will help them learn more about whodaheck I am.

Montana Road Trip 2010, Chapter Forty-Five

Last time, ‘way last time, like last December, we’d just driven into the city of Lewiston, Idaho, after winding our way down the Old Spiral Highway. What a trip that was! And now, we are about to head down towards the Palouse country once again.

Spinnin’ Away…But Not In Margaritaville

I’m so happy I can finally spin again! I still can’t do it for hours and hours, but it’s good PT for my knees and it brings me such joy to be able to be at my wheels again.

I just finished this skein. It’s about 300 yards of Shetland wool; I haven’t decided what the knit it into yet.

Friendly Pīpī

The other day I was driving from home to the gym; the pīpī in the pasture I drive by were kinda far away. I stopped to take a photo or two for AFK (our road was empty and quiet).  I cropped the photo; they were much further away at first but I didn’t want half the photo to be the inside of my kawila.

Stories, Numbah One: Idaho Furnace

Just pau my latest knee surgery, when I was up walking during the middle of the night, I began remembering all kine stories from my life. Yeah, it was probably the Oxy because my head was full of them…but I thought I really should get some of them written down. They’re only small kine stories, short and sweet, but watdaheck, they’re part of my life.  Maybe someday when I’m really makule lidat, I can come back here and read them as if for the first time. LOL.
