Boring/Keiki Blankies

I gave up on the ugly acrylic yarn.  Not the double-pointed needles.  Just the yarn.  Red Heart.  I hate it.  Life is too short to knit with ugly yarn.  I bit the bullet and wen holoholo to my LYS (Local Yarn Store) and upgraded to a nicer yarn.

Double-Pointed Fingers

 

I am trying to knit a baby blanket. The pattern is easy. Cast on 5, join in a circle. Move onto 3 double-pointed needles, just like I use to knit socks. Knit one round.  Then increase in each of the stitches. Easy! Ya think?  So how come I ripped the whole thing out 8 times awreddy? Continue reading

Da Case For Good Sentence Structure

Dis ad wen appear in one local online da kine similar to Craigslist.  Are da clothes oni for peeps from da wrong side of da tracks?  Oa wat?

White trash bag of girls clothes mostly size 6-7 but there are a few 8’s – $3

Ho, can have so much fun wit dis! 

“Hotel Street bag of girls clothes…chree dollah.  But mo bettah u fumigate um befoah wearing um.”

“Kahala area bag of girls clothes.  All of them were purchased at Nordstrom and have only been worn once.  $100”.

“Nanakuli sai bag of tita clothes. Get some pukas in um cuz my dottah like beef.  Oddawise okay.  $10.00.  Wat? U tink dat too much?  U like beef oa wat?”

I going quit befoah I get in trouble.

Wat Makes Us Local?

Thursday night, Nolemana, our eldest daughter and I wen hele to da airport to meet our youngest daughter, who was coming home from 3 weeks in Europe.  We were standing right outsai da security checkpoint, so we could greet her wen she got off da plane.  Da crowd of peeps standing deah had one long, long wait, around 45 minutes of waiting anxiously for da faces of da peeps we all love to appear. Springtime In Oregon

I love springtime in Oregon!  Da winter is mostly gray.  Gray clouds.  Gray sky.  Monochrome wintah.  No get me wrong.  I like it.  I like da cold, cozy days wit a fire in da woodstove.  I love snuggling undah my electric blankie.  I love hot cocoa in da aftahnoon topped wit one two homemade marshmallows.  Anything is more bettah den 100 degrees, which can happen during da summah.
