Small Kine Frogging

Believe it or not, I’ve had to frog the sleeve, yes, the first sleeve still, of Nolemana’s sweater about 4 times!  Argghhhh!  But finally I got it right, thanks again to Linda, and while he was in surgery and recovery and while I sat with him till evening, I ended the sleeve and started on the ribbing. Keiki Hat

My nephew, his wife and new baby came up to Oregon to see my brother and sis-in-law, (the new grandparents), and since I’ve never seen the baby or met his mom, Nolemana and I drove over to the coast on Sunday to spend the day.  When I’d found out that they were coming, I wanted to knit a special baby hat for this special baby.  This is the baby I’d knit the spiral baby blankie for. The Concert is Pau!

Today I met with Julie, Umeki and Snowflake at Hawai‘i Beanz for our regular Saturday mini-gathering.  Armed with a hot decaf mocha, my lifeline in place, and Julie ready to wind the frogged yarn, I took a deep breath and began to frog the sleeve.  Sounds of kanikapila (that only I could hear… ho da scary that!) filled the air as I slowly ripped out the sleeve.  Continue reading →
