365 Days, Numbah Thirty-One

This year is going by in a big blur, and here I am, ‘way behind again. But I’m determined not to give up! So here we go again.

June 11th

Daily hummingbird.
Terrible photo of the Western Tanager, but I wanted to record that he’s still here, along with his son.
I started spinning a pretty braid.
Daily hummingbird action shot.

June 12th

Daily hummingbird at the kitchen window.
The gym posse buddies goofing off. Kolohe buggahs.
Daily hummingbird in action!
And more action! They’re so hard to catch like this.
Blooming lupine. See da blurry pīpī on the right?
Chee hoo! He’s still here!
Two dads and Nuthatch waiting for the suet.
And a Robin!
Daily hummingbird at the end of the day.

These guys were here to replace a toilet and two water heaters. Great company… and $$$. This must be our year for major repairs.
Aloha ʻoe broke toilet.
Aloha e new toilet.
Aloha ʻoe gigantic old water heater. 80 gallons was. Good thing we replaced it; the bottom was junk and rusted out.
First tomato blossoms. Last year this time we already had fruit.
Daily blurry hummingbirds!
These guys came back, free of charge, to up the temperature of the new water heaters.
I love these petunias!!

June 15th

Daily hummingbird.
Mt Hood from Scouters Mountain Park. I do love this view!
Cinnamon had to go to the vet today. This is a new vet to us, Fern Hill Veterinary in Happy Valley. They’ve only been here a month, but we’ve heard good things about them. We do miss seeing our former vet, though.
The vet techs were awesome. They treated our girl with love. The vet was concerned because Cinnamon was so sick; she hadn’t been eating for a couple of days. Dr Zambelli was concerned that we couldn’t save her. I’m so grateful that they could get us in right away. Office visit+ labs = $$$$$. But it’s what we do for our furry ʻohana.

Oh, Moki-chan, I’m sorry about Cinnamon. I hope she’s improving. And thank you for all of your photos. I’m so jealous you get to see a nuthatch on the regular! I only hear them in my ‘hood. Imua!

I love Nuthatches, too. They kinda sound like VW Bugs, don’t they? Mahalo for your words about Cinnamon. She’s definitely doing better, and eating pretty well. She’s up half a pound, which is also good. She’s still really thin, but seems to be on the mend.
