Today I got a new team member; her name is Emily and she’s going to be knitting Kate the Cat! Welcome, Emily! Kate is absolutely adorable!
Bonnie is our honorary member who will be knitting socks and other stuff while watching the games and cheering everyone on.
Another friend of mine is a cheerleader, and we have a whole crew of tita cheerleaders! It doesn’t get better than this! (For those of you unfamiliar with the term “tita” (TEE-tah), it is usually a large, well-proportioned, always tough, very local (Hawaiian Islands) female… a woman with an attitude!)
And my very special friend Lurkah has designed our Team Button. He does wonderful things with graphics. Isn’t it great? Mahalo, brah!
I have the yarn! I have the needles! Now I just have to wind my ‘Ōhelo Berry yarn into balls:
See all those pointy little needles? Do not, I repeat, do not attempt to distract me with work, or cooking or laundry for the next 16 days. If you do, you’re likely to get poked with these handy little darts! The extra one (I only knit with four) can easily become a concealed weapon, ready to whip out at any moment to threaten anyone who tries to take away my knitting time. My eyes on are the prize!
“tita” (TIT-ah), it is usually a large, well-proportioned, always tough, very local (Hawaiian Islands) female… a woman with an attitude!
~hey I resemble dat mark. LOL Like I said “Imua Team Hawaii Nei.”
Happy Knitting.
Eh! Guess wat! I wen email da keeper of da team stuffs, and wen change our name to Team Hawai`i Nei! Mahalo for da suggestion!
I love having tita cheerleaders!
