No Adobo Comments, Please! LOL.

When we get an appraisal request in, we never know exactly what to expect when we do the inspection. This last one really gave us a surprise!

Da Mystery Road Trip Revealed, Part Twenty-Seven

Southeastern Idaho. About as different from Montana as you can get. The land is pretty flat and quite desert-y. There are a lot of craggy rocks and sagebrush and not a whole lot else. It looks pretty barren. But the sky is big, blue, and seemingly endless, uncluttered by tall buildings that block the view.

Jammin’

Last month I was able to get quite a deal on apricots, something like 99 cents a pound. So I decided to make apricot jam, something I haven’t done in what seems like forever.

August Sunsets

We get some pretty incredible sunsets around here, and I keep a close eye on the makai sky when I think we’re gonna get one. So much of the time it’s cloudy and/or rainy… well, from about October through June… which makes for a lot of gray.

This August I happened to be watching at just the right time.

The sun was just starting to go down here.

Wassap Wit Dat 1950’s Style

I know times were different then. But from today’s standpoint it’s really hard to believe women bought into all this. Yet at the time, it was normal. Though I expect there were more than a few nay-sayers even back then.

Da Mystery Road Trip Revealed, Part Twenty-Six

I have been lax in updating this road trip. Life intrudes. Stuff intrudes. Yet here I am again, just like the little engine that could. So hang on, here we go!

At the end of Part Twenty-Five, we’d just hit the motel in Blackfoot, Idaho. There weren’t a lot of people there and we thought about hitting the jacuzzi, but by now it was almost ten p.m. so we bagged it, showered, and went to bed. Continue reading

Farm Life On Another Farm

One of my favorite blogs is Chickens in the Road written and photographed by Suzanne McMinn. It’s a fantastic combination of farm life, chickens, recipes, humor, and great photography, I’m always glad to see a new post in my feeds.

This video from Suzanne gives me a smile every single time I see it, and I’ve watched it over and over again. Suzanne graciously gave me her permission to put it here so that you folks could enjoy it too.

Be sure your volume is up so you can hear the hoofbeats. OMG, this is so dang cute! I love the bouncing!! Who says sheep can’t play tag! Enjoy! When you’re pau watching the video, go enjoy the rest of Suzanne’s awesome blog!

Da Mystery Road Trip Revealed, Part Twenty-Five

Back on da road again after stopping to watch the fisherman for a bit. This part of the trip marks the end of our time in Yellowstone, and I must admit I was feeling kinda wai maka about the whole thing. Our trip through was so wonderful but I longed for more time to explore this stunningly beautiful area of the world. Doing this road trip has been good for me, because I have the chance to re-live the wonderful memories we made there. I know we’ll be back!
