Holoholo Kaʻa iā Government Camp Along Hwy 26 and Beyond- Chapter Three. October 22, 2023

Nothing like being a year and a half behind. Sheesh, Mokihana! But this is a perfect example of why I’m not doing the same 365 Days this year. I just couldn’t keep up doing other stuffs along with posting photos for every day. So now, in the sometimes bleakness of winter, here’s some autumn color for you.

This is from our adventure up Lolo Pass Road in the foothills of Wy’east (Mt. Hood). This was my first post about it, and this was my second.

Lolo Pass Road

Lots of photos of the beautiful autumn colors!

We made the turn here towards Ramona Falls Trailhead.

This is the Sandy River, which eventually joins the Columbia River between Oregon and Washington.

We didn’t go too far before turning around and heading back.

We did drive a little bit further up Lolo Pass Road but didn’t go all the way to this trailhead.

I thought you’d like to see an aerial view of what it looks like where we were.

Enjoy the ride!

Look at all the moss on the trees!

Back on Highway 26 heading home; the vine maples were so lovely. It was hard to get good photos at 55 mph!

I hope you enjoyed autumn in the middle of winter.
