I took choke photos of the daily hummingbird today:

I’ve never seen the hummers land on the frame of the feeder before.

No pīpī photos today; my toe hurt so I wasn’t up much.

June 25th

Our dishwasher was leaking and Rick came to see if he could figure out why. Those magnetic signs on the front of my dishwasher? Well, when I had my first knee surgery, one of the gym posse made them for me. (I have since persuaded them to stop calling me “Mook” once I found out what it means.
Daily hummingbird.

My Bird of Paradise went crazy this year! I had nine flowers!

Hairy woodpecker.

And another day with no pīpī. Sigh…

Wow, laulau, yo lānai so uluwehiwehi and nani!

I’m sorry your toe is hurting so much. I hope you’re healing quickly.

I don’t blame da pīpī for hiding in da shade. You guys have been hotter than we have, and I’ve been chasing shade too.

Still ho da hot! I have to wear a sock on my left foot because still sore my toe (doc said it could take a month to heal). It’s hard to wear sandals or tennies, but the sock helps.

I love our lānai in the summer! Wish I could share the tomatoes with the two of you!

Should be one more day of major hot, but the next week will still be hotter than I like.
