I love supporting this company in Fiji. I bought several of these ladybugs, and they’re adorable. This sewing machine is hand-cranked and I thought it’d be interesting to post a photo of this.

Kalakoa…so flexible. Here she is, “playing the cello”.
Volunteer shrubs blooming in the pasture.
This is most definitely not a daily hummingbird. It’s a Mourning Dove. And sheesh, we gotta clean dem rails!

I’m so pleased I got this photo!!

This would be the daily hummingbird.
One daily pīpī.
Daily hummingbird at sunset.

The not-a-daily-hummingbird is back.

Oh my gosh! Both of them together!

The leaves on this Japanese Maple were sparkling, but the camera didn’t pick them up. At the dentist’s.
Beautiful Dogwood tree there, too.
And this gorgeous Azalea!
Two sunset daily hummingbirds!

Daily hummingbird.

I grew up hearing this and still love it. (“kau kau” is food, for those of you not from Hawaiʻi.)

Daily pīpī.
Cookie place near the Backyard Bird Shop where I was today. I didn’t go in…I should sometime. Because you know, the bear. And cookies.
The female Grosbeaks have arrived!

May 10th

Daily hummingbird in flight.
Hōkū, today’s daily pīpī.

I laughed out loud, a lot, at da Cow kaukau joke! I’m so J of all of your good bird photos. That mourning dove in flight is terrific.

All Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory stores seem to have that Bear out front. I don’t understand why the Bear looks so grumpy when he’s in front of a candy store! Maybe it’s because they won’t give him any. I’ll email you a photo I took of G mugging with a bear for me. (One of the reasons I love him.)
