365 Days 2024, May 1-5

May Day is Lei Day in Hawaiʻi … and here’s a mokihana lei.

I was all over the place last month.

Daily pīpī. They’re happy to stay in the pasture now that the grass is growing.

Food delivery day; dunno why the photo came out small.

I was out on the lānai and got a different view of the daily hummingbird.

Today was my fiber guild’s meeting in Damascus at the old school Here are several of the weavings that people in the weaving guild are working on. They’re so talented!

I got some spinning done there.

    I have never seen an electric spinning wheel! Wow and lovely yarns, as ever 😉 And indeed some gorgeous rugs being woven!!! I used to weave (only spun with a drop spindle hahaha) Very meditative and still love love love the fiber arts oxoxo

      There are a lot of espinners on the market now, some are really tiny but spin well. I love that you used to weave and spun on a drop spindle; that takes talent! Mahalo nui for your comment!

    Your photos of the hummer against the gorgeous clouds are fantastic. I love the photo of the trees in the misty air on 5/5. And I can never get a good Towhee photo. I saw two of them scratching under a hedge yesterday, but I was too slow and they were too fast for me!

      The Towhees are such shy birdies… I hope you’re able to get photos sometime. They’re ground feeders so youʻre looking in the right place!
