365 Days 2023, Numbah Fifty-Four

July 20th

Tour de Fleece continues.
..
Bunny in da grass on our way to pick up our food for deliveries.
Da daily pīpī.
The house across the road is big! Loved seeing this cool crane on our way to Damascus. I assume it was doing the trusses.

While waiting for the food delivery pickup truck in Damascus, I saw this bald eagle flying overhead. Wow!! There’s a river a few miles away, but it’s unusual to see eagles around here. I know you can’t see its white head, but it was an eagle for sure.

And try look! There were two of them!!

Food deliveries.
Da daily pīpī.
I got this at our first food delivery!
Daily hummingbird.
Baby Red-Tail Hawk flying overhead, screaming to be fed.
My finished yarn for Tour de Fleece.
Two daily hummingbirds.

July 21st

Daily hummingbird; I’m pleased with this wing shot!
Landing daily hummingbird.
Tomatoes are coming along!
And the zucchini, too, though they’re growing very slowly. I haven’t been hand-pollinating them; I’ve discovered that I get a really bad rash from zucchini leaves and so am seeing if they’ll be okay on their own. I have a hand pollinating da kine and will try it if this doesn’t work…with a long sleeved shirt on!
Da daily pīpī.
Keola totally sound asleep.

I love seeing Keola as a kitty-ball. So cute! I’m sorry to hear you get a rash from zucchini–I wonder if that sap is irritating to everyone. How cool you got to see bald eagles! We get them in our ‘hood, and that’s always an exciting sight. And, ho, da nani, da pīpī!

Kitty-ball is right!! I love what you called it! The sap doesn’t seem to bother Nolemana.. last year I got a terrible rash while trying to hand pollinate them.. ended up at the Dr’s office. How wonderful that you folks get to see the eagles!!!
