365 Days, Numbah Forty-Three

July 5th

This photo is from June; I’d forgotten about it. So I thought I’d put it here because I really like it.

Our air is really hazy and smoky right now because of the Tunnel 5 Fire in the Columbia River Gorge on the Washington side of the river. A friend of mine’s husband is a firefighter up there and she’s not getting much sleep these days. I am so grateful for all the firefighters who lay their lives on the line in order to protect us. ♥

Daily hummingbird.
Daily pīpī. (Oh, this is so much fun to do this for AFK!)
Tomatoes!
It was hard to spy this bigger tomato… see it just up from the marigold?
I was quite proud of myself today!
Zinnias!
Daily hummingbird again.
The Gathering celebrated a special friend’s birthday at La Costita today!
Daily pīpī again!
I got a little bit of spinning time today for the Tour de Fleece.

Thank you for da pīpī pix! Are those squash/zucchini/pumpkin blossoms under the tomatoes? Or was that a marigold bud? Our skies are hazy too, but I think that’s from local fireworks and the B.C. fires.

That’s a marigold. I have one zucchini blossom but it’s male and no girl flowers yet. Hopefully soon. I wish I had more bees to help pollinate. We have tons of bee flowers, but hardly any honeybees. I miss them!
