365 Days 2023, Numbah Forty-Four

July 6th

Da daily pīpī.

Daily hummingbird.
Daily hummingbird with da zoomies. I like this one!
Food deliveries. We had a very light load today. Plenny cauliflower, though.
Kalakoa went to the vet for her yearly checkup. She seemed pretty relaxed before the vet came in.

However, when the vet and her tech came in, everything changed. For the worse. Kalakoa turned into a little spitfire, she had to be purrito’d in the hopes of being able to get her bloodwork done. But her veins were so tiny and she was so feisty, we decided to put it off for a couple of weeks. I’d tried to get liquid Gabapentin down her previous to her appointment, but it didn’t work. So next I’ll try it crushed in her food or with a pill popper.

This little cutie was at the gate when Kalakoa and I came home. I wonder what Sara and Jake will name her.
Peek-a-boo!
I got more spinning done for Tour de Fleece.
Bessy came to say hi outside my office!!
She’s pretty tame, and Nolemana went over to pet her.
She loved the grass he fed her.

It’s so much fun to be able to do these pīpī photos for you, AFK!! I never thought we’d be able to get these kind of close-ups before! Too much fun. ♥♥

Moooo-ray for da pīpī pitchas! Please tell Bessy I said “moo.” Sad for Kalakoa. I understand why she’s mad, but she doesn’t understand why she needs to undergo all that discomfort.

I will definitely give Bessy your message. And you’re right, Kalakoa doesn’t understand. I hope the meds work next time; I think I’ll do a trial run with them when I trim her nails tomorrow.
