I apologize for the delay in all my posts…yet another friend of mine died last month and I was involved with helping however I could during her last few weeks. She and I shared a love for spinning and knitting, and her death has brought up all my other grief stuffs. It’s been a really hard month. I’m going to try catch up as quick as I can…

February 6th

Bushtits at the feeder; they’re so quick it’s hard to get good photos of them.
Daily hummingbird.
Ummm….. watdaheck?

February 7th

Daily hummingbird acrobatics.
Two daily hummingbird acrobats.
Not-a-hummingbird… a Dark-Eyed Junco instead.

February 8th

Bushtits at the suet feeder.
Coconut prawns at Red Lobster during a delightful lunch with special friends. Haven’t had these for years!
Shared dessert…. oh yum!!
Fog over the valley.
I finished a handspun/handknit scarf!
Daily hummingbird.

February 9th

Food deliveries. And yes, that one box was full to the brim with lemon-shaped containers of lemon juice.
Mt Hood with a fresh coating of snow and some interesting clouds drifting by. Highway 212 in Damascus.
Lenticular cloud over the mountain.
“Tornado” cloud.

Prepare for an inundation of sunset hummingbirds because I could pick just one photo.

Sunset daily hummingbird.

February 10th

Beautiful orchids .

Sadly, the daily hummingbird and I never made connections today.

OH, my friend…. my heart goes out to you, losing another friend…. it is hard, this time in life….sigh…. hugs.

    And, BEAUTIFUL shawl!!!!

  2. Michelle says:

Lady Tie Di took the words right out of my mouth, and heart. More hugs from me.

  3. AFK says:

Oh, Moki-chan, I’m so, so sorry for your loss. Bless you for doing what you could to help your friend ease out of this life.

I especially like your “daily hummingbird acrobatics” photo. The hummer’s wings are just fascinating. I love watching a flock of bushtits–they always sound so cheerful.

    • Mokihana says:

Mahalo, my friend… I love the bushtits, too… but they’re so hard to photograph because they move so fast. They are cheerful little buggas, aren’t they!
