July 21st

Food deliveries. Not all bananas in the boxes, though.
Quail!
Adunno how I got this one out of what letters I had.
Even more hidden tree house.
This is the front of the church at the Baker Cabin Historical site.
Big chunk of texture in my yarn!
Daily hummingbird. Oh. Try wait! That’s a plane! Heh heh.
Da real daily hummingbird.

July 22nd

Color changes in the yarn.
Daily hummingbird.

July 23rd

Time to clean the fish pond. Nolemana thought they were all dead, but they were all hiding down at the bottom. Nolemana had a wonderful helper, Jake.
I took photos of our rose bush.
The fishies stayed in this bowl till the pond got cleaned. They’ve grown so much during the past three years!
Well, hello there!
Especially this guy.
They’ll be so happy to get into clean water.
Daily hummingbird by the pond. She was so close and so I was able to get a great photo of him.
She sat there for quite awhile and let me take photos.
Fishies in their clean pond!
So happy! It’s good to see them up at the surface again. Nolemana covers them at night with screening so no predators can get them.

July 24th

I started a new shawl with my handspun yarn. The colors remind me of the lilikoʻi blossoms back hom.
Hand-pollinating zucchini with my new pollinator bee da kine.
Keola keeps me company while I’m spinning and matches my treadle cover quite nicely.
The two bobbins are ready for plying!
Daily hummingbird at sunset.
Disagreement at the feeder. You’d think with two feeders up, this wouldn’t happen, but it does.

July 25th

Daily hummingbird.
Plying is happening.

Lots of pretty yarn at your house! Lots of planes flying around near our house because of an airshow in McMinnville starting today….

    • Mokihana says:

Oh that’s right.. the airshow. Do you ever go?
Thanks for your compliment about the yarn… I so admire your because you do it all on spindles!

      • Michelle says:

I’ve only rarely gone to an airshow, and only because my husband & son wanted to. The noise level is unpleasant, and since I’m not a thrill-seeker, watching “thrills” doesn’t appeal to me. Yeah, I’m an introvert at heart…..

  2. AFK says:

Those close-up hummer photos are phenomenal. I envy your fish pond–I’ve always wanted one.

    • Mokihana says:

I really enjoy it, too. I’ll post more fishie photos for you. I was surprised that the hummer let me get so close!

  3. Mokihana says:

Michelle, I totally agree with you. One year we went to the Hillsboro one as volunteers to pick up trash. The noise was unbearable, and like you, I’m a major introvert. Once was enough, though I don’t mind seeing recaps online at times.
