1. Last night I slept pretty good on da new mattress. The odor had almost dissipated (ho da big word, yeah?) and didn’t bother me at all.
2. I did use a second pillow because the night before, because I wasn’t sinking so far into the bed, it felt like my head was too low. As in lower than the rest of me. That helped a lot. I may get a new pillow at some point because the one I used to slept with is getting pretty smooshed.
3. I didn’t need an extra blanket on the bed. Right now I use the electric blanket to warm up the mattress for about ten minutes before I hop into bed, but not supposed to leave it on all night. Leilani warned me that when it gets really cold in the winter (because we both like to have windows open small kine even when it’s below thirty degrees outsai!) the mattress will be cold and hard. So I’m gonna leave the electric blanket on during the winter.
4. No backache this morning, either! Whoopee!! I think I may have made a new friend in the mattress. But I’m making no final judgment till I’ve slept on it for at least two weeks.
So far da princess is cautiously optimistic.
Whoa . . . you had me at “Temper-Pedic”. I sat glued to my monitor wondering the outcome. So far, so good! Yay!
My odder half and I got a “natural latex” foam mattress last summer, and we love it. It’s made along the same lines as a Tempur-Pedic but with natural rubber.
I’m glad to hear what you’re saying about Tempur-Pedic, because my folks are also in the market for a new mattress, and they wouldn’t be able to get the kind of mattress we got in Hawai`i (ours was manufactured by local business).
I’ll look forward to your updated review a couple of months from now.
