May 6 – Inside or outside

I went over to take some haupia to my daughter, Leilani, who’d just had her tonsils out. She can’t have anything dairy right now, and she loves haupia, and I was delighted to make it for her.

We sat out in the back yard, and I couldn’t resist taking this photo of one of their Springer Spaniels trying to decide if he wanted to come out or not through the doggie door. Ho da kewt, yeah?

Who does that doggie think he is, a kitty? In or out? In or out?

I love this picture, Mom!!! The haupia was my saving grace – something soft and sweet to eat that is easy on my throat!
