Today my suet feeder and garden were graced by Mrs Pileated Woodpecker!

First she sat on the deck rail trying to decide if she should hop up to the feeder above her head.

Then she flew up and started munching on the suet. She moved to quickly that it was hard to get a clear photo.

She really is a lovely creature, isn’t she? I love that she comes around!
