R-Games

So yesterday, with my friend Nancy for moral support, I frogged (ripped out) two socks. I was going to finish them (they were pretty darn close to being done) and knit their mates for the R-Games. Well, that ain’t gonna happen. That was too discouraging. So I decided to finish another sock I found and knit it’s mate, and to do some spinning as well. Because girls just wanna have fun, ya know?

This is a hard time for me (post about it to follow), and knitting and spinning is really helping me through it.

This is the sock I’m working on. Lorna’s Laces “Flames”.

And this is the fiber I’m spinning. FatCatKnits Day’s End, “Sinbad”, Falkland.

I’m aiming for a light worsted weight and want to make myself a hat out of it.

That’s a pretty sock. LL yarn is so nice to knit.
I ripped a sock last month, and lost a project bag with a nearly-done sock in it in May. My sock count for 2012 stands at zero. I should start a pair, Lord knows I have a mighty stash of appropriate yarn…

I’m looking forward to finding out what braid FatCatKnits sends me as my Tour de Fleece prize. Your braid looks pretty!
