Ravelympics Ravellenic Games

I got so busy during the Tour de Fleece that I forgot to post photos for that. I will, I will. And now it’s time for the Ravelry Ravellenic Games, which used to be called the Ravelympics, but we can’t say that anymore. The US Olympic Committee said so. So the powers that be on Ravelry changed the name to the Ravellenic Games, which is quite a mouthful.

I had my projects all ready. Finishing up three pairs of languishing socks. One sock almost pau, just had to do the toe, then finish the second sock. Another sock pau, just have to do the mate to it. Another sock with a really cool lava pattern. And guess what? I had to forget about two of them because silly me, I didn’t measure very well and the first socks don’t fit right. So I have to go to Plan B. Sheesh. I found another first sock that had been languishing and will finish that one and knit its mate. Then maybe knit the second sock of the other pair.

Talk about a disappointing start! But I will prevail. Stay tuned.

I am attacking WIP’s for the Olympics, as well. First up is finishing my Aidez sweater. Then i have another sweater that is crying out for some progress (don’t expect to finish it) and finish a pair of fingerless mitts that have languished too long. If I complete Aidez (1 1/2 sleeves, blocking and sewing up) I will consider myself having won a gold medal – that sweater has been on the needles since Christmas eve!

I’m tackling WIPs, frogging, and trying to get my knitting mojo going again. I haven’t knit in over two months! Lots of spinning, no knitting. I did get a little colorwork bag done last night. Its currently soaking so I can officially count it as done.

Hope you’re successful in your challenges!
