March 17th

Today Nolemana and I drove down to Oregon City to see Willamette Falls full-on with water. There were lots of people there doing the same thing. On the way there, we stopped along Highway 99 to see all the freeway construction/refitting stuff.

Jake and Jake2 came over today and started the burn pile. The cows loved the warmth!

March 9th is the anniversary date of my beloved dad’s suicide and it’s always a hard day for me. I had a 12-day old baby and an almost 3-year-old at the time. Today this date was made better for me because it coincided with the Antique Spinning Wheel Showcase, which is put on the my Aurora Colony’s Handspinners Guild. I went as a relief spinner and Guild photographer.

As promised, in these gray days of winter, I’m gonna post a bunch of photos from our autumn holoholo around the area. I already posted our covered bridge holoholo…this time we’re heading up Highway 26 to Government Camp and then to Lolo Pass Road. I know, I always smile at “lolo”… it means a whole lot different when you’re from Hawaiʻi. There’s Lolo in Montana, too.
Let’s head down the driveway on this pretty autumn day.
