January 11-12

Definitely not the daily hummingbird!

There you are!

I often get teased about living next to Boring. It really is a cute town, though.

We have been blessed with so many lovely sunsets this month. I love the interaction of the clouds and the sun.

January 12th

Daily hummingbird on a very foggy morning.

The combination of fog and sunset over Sunshine Valley was too beautiful for words. Again, I have no words for this kind of beauty. fog and sunset. I’m so grateful I was able to capture how the fog nestled down in Sunshine Valley while we were in the clear above it.

Is that Nessie?

Turn up your volume to hear the daily hummingbird chattering at me!

I love that you have that wonderful view of Happy Valley so you can see the fog from above. I love that low-lying fog that highlights the trees. Did I ever talk to you about the book “Fog Magic”? It’s a children’s book from the ’40s, but I still love it.

Kudos to whoever dreamed up the “Boring and Dull” Festival–way to make creative use of your town name. I laughed out loud in reading that description.

I also laughed at your Nessie cloud description!

Yes, you told me about Fog Magic, and I immediately got it from my library. I loved it!! I’m so glad you recommended it.

The Boring/Dull festival is a pretty big deal around here. So fun.

I was thinking of other things that the cloud reminded me of, but Nessie seemed the best. Glad you liked it!
