One woodpile from the tree cutting.

Daily hummingbird.
Speaking of a gigantic woodpile. That was a huge tree. Or two.

December 28th

My knitting project and my new knitting bag. Ho da kewt!
Daily hummingbird.
‘Ono lunch today after we went to Unwind Yarn Studio to get more yarn for my cowl. Fantastic yarn shop that I highly recommend. Then we went to Uwajimaya, and then to Hawaiian Time Cafe across the street for some local kine grindz.
The other woodpile.

Another angle of the first woodpile.

December 30th

I went back to the vet’s today to pick up Keola’s ashes. That was a sad and difficult trip; this book was in the waiting area. It did give me a smile.

Daily hummingbird.
I was requested to knit another handwarmer for Janice’s friend, so I got that done through my tears about Keola.

December 31st

Daily hummingbird.
Da kewt knitting bag.
Last view of our Christmas lights before Nolemana takes them down tomorrow.

Whew. I finally made it. Pau for the year, 365 days!

  1. We both have cute, new, sheep-themed knitting bags – lucky us! We could use some of that firewood, though. We didn’t cut any last year with everything else that was going on and have resorted to buying it for this winter. Hopefully we’ll get back on track this year, although with the way it’s going, who knows.

Congratulations on another year of fabulous blogging! At first I thought you were buying more yarn for your *cow* (not cowl) and I wondered what cow you were talking about! I love that the sheepies on your knitting bag are wearing knitted hats. My late Aunty would have LOVED that book on cats with hats. She loved any kind of animal wearing hats, but cats would have been her favorite. I’m glad you guys kept the wood, but it’s too soon to use it for fuel, isn’t it? Doesn’t it need to dry out a bit first? (You can tell I’m a city girl.)

Haha about the yarn for the cow. I love it! I wish your Aunty could’ve seen that book for sure, and I love that she loved cats, too.

We did keep the wood, and yes, it does need to dry out for about a year… (see, you’re more akamai than you thought you were!) but we’re going to give it to one of the gals on our food deliveries. She only heats with wood and barely scrapes by, so we’re happy to share it with her.
