The duck pond at Big Valley Woods where I met with the Gathering this morning before heading to the vet’s office.

I just wanted to stay home and grieve, but I had things that really had to get done, including returning some library books. They were having a kids’ gingerbread house contest there.

Michelle is wise. I’m sorry there is a Keola-shaped hole in your heart right now. But you did the right thing.
That light-covered car is so cool! And one of our neighbors has that same light-up crab! Along with porpoises wearing Santa hats.
Starlings are the one bird I hate. They tear up my plants. Apparently they line their nests with certain kinds of leaves to keep parasites at bay for their babies, but I still hate ’em.
You kept going, which probably helped more than staying home and grieving. Thanks for sharing all your beautiful photos, even the painful onees.
