365 Days 2024, August 6-10

Keiki osprey beauty.

The awesome crew from Powerful Roofing did our roof repairs today. What a fantastic company!!

Daily hummingbird and zinnias.
These guys were so careful not to leave a mess, and worked quickly and efficiently. I took cookies out to them and got to practice my Spanish, too. (“Tengo galletas para ustedes!”)

Da pīpī neva wen show up. Kill fight.

August 7th

Neighborhood pīpī.
Powerful Roofing came back to finish up today.
Daily hummingbird.
Fantastic roof repair; the right side matches the left side perfectly.
Diego even blew off the lower deck for us after he blew off where they were working.

August 8th

Food delivery day.
Sunflowers on the way to a delivery.
Daily hummingbird at sunset. Still no pīpī.

August 9th

Check out the wingspan!!
Practicing flying…chick #2.
Family of four together.
Daily hummingbird and zinnias.
Da lānai.
Finally!!

August 10th

Daily hummingbird.
Try look da kewt card a friend of mine sent to me.
This is one of the few times Keola and Kalakoa will share space.
Daily pīpī.
Ripening tomatoes!
Beautiful dahlia that my friend Kerrie grew from seed, not tuber!

    Your hummer and flower photos are soooo nani! I didn’t know you *could* grow dahlias from seed! Good construction guys are such a blessing. We’re having our decks repaired, and the workers are very nice. I wonder if na pīpī were hiding from the heat. G gave me a t-shirt that says “I love ukes and cats,” so I think that card your friend sent you is fantastic.

    Boy are those hummers spoiled….feeders AND gorgeous zinnias hahahah LOVE the Osprey pics. Glad you are getting your roof fixed AND feel confident about them. YAY! Also, I just watched a video on YouTube that reminded me of the card your friend sent you call, “Childless Cat Ladies” hahahaha (two gals about my age with white hair playing guitar and mandolin…not ukes but…)
