July 26th

Dancing daily hummingbird.
Choir director daily hummingbird.
They never stop scrapping!

July 27th

I have tons of daily hummingbird shots for you folks today. They’re so photogenic these days!

Feeties!

They stayed surprisingly close to Nolemana while he was watering. I think they were upset that he was there during feeding time. They even scrapped right near him!

“You’re in my way, dude!”

Ooohh…. I love this one!

I met with two friends for some knitting time today; Amber was very curious about my knitting bag.

Then she slept right next to me!
And finally, da daily pīpī.

July 28th

Another choir director daily hummingbird.

July 29th

Try look how big da babies!!

Huge wingspan!! He’s practicing flying.
Daily pīpī at the hay bales…which aren’t bales anymore.

Baby quail!!! Mom and Dad had a lot of them!

July 30th

I love that I caught the beautiful gorget on the perched one!

No daily pīpī today…adunno where they were!

    It’s been years since I’ve seen a quail family on our property, and I miss them! But I suppose Poppy would not be a nice ‘hostess,’ little huntress that she is. Thanks for sharing ‘yours.’

      I love that they had their babies here… I kept scattering lots of food for them. No wonder you miss them… but I’m glad for their sake, because of Poppy. I hope they stick around.

    I especially love your sixth hummer photo for 7/30–looks like your feeder has wings and a tail! That gorget is gorgeous. I also love all the quail babies. Reminds me of the opening credits for “The Partridge Family” from back in the day.
