365 Days 2023, Numbah Seventy-Four

October 1st

Lots of photos today!

Caught the moon on its way to bed this morning.
Daily hummingbird.

We drove to Canby today to go to Swan Island Dahlias, and stopped off at Willamette Falls for photos. I remember one year when I brought my dad-in-law out this way, there was a huge amount of water going over the falls. But not now.

It was pretty all the same, though.

We arrived at Swan Island Dahlias, but they’d closed the day before! We couldn’t go inside the rows, but did go along the perimeter of the fields.

Then we drove around the area for a bit… horses!!

We saw this interesting rig… can you see the spikes on the wheels? Ouch.

Da daily pīpī… Hōkū.

We ended the day with a perfectly lovely sunset.

I love dahlias. I call them the showgirls of the flower world. It’s hard to take a bad photo of a dahlia.
