June 18th
This was an exciting day for us. It started off with a close-up of our daily hummingbird. And yes, I was outside with her when I took this photo.

Why was I outside? Cuz this! After months of trying to find someone to mow our pasture, Jake came over and began to get it done.

Are you spinning for TdF?
I am! Are you?
Yes, although I don’t have any grand plans. I spun and plied a ~5g ‘fiber snack’ gift from a Ravpal at BSG today, and continue spin more suri alpaca so I can finish my dyed Wensleydale/alpaca 2ply. I have three 1.5-2oz samples of new to me breeds coming, so will try to get them spun, and because thecrazysheeplady’s team has organically become a mostly Shetland team, I plan to pull out some homegrown Shetland to spin, too. All on Jenkins spindles, of course!
Your first hummingbird photo is especially nice. Wow! Bless those people who can get the job done–hooray for Jake! And I’m sure 6/18 was a special day in other ways. HB, Tita!
Mahalo nui! Yes, it was a very special day for sure… great present from Jake! I couldn’t have asked for a better one.
