May 6th

Daily hummingbird.
Try look at what I won!! Aren’t they beautiful??
At a friend’s house in West Linn for some knitting time today. Three of us had a wonderful time together.
My friend’s beautiful cat, Amber.

May 7th

Balck-Headed Grosbeak. They move so fast that it’s hard to get good photos of them. They have such a lovely song, too.

Today was my last visit out to Eagle Creek to pick up the last of Laura’s stuff. Tom and Nolemana loaded everything into the car. Tom’s wearing the hat that he asked me to make for him. He said it was “perfect”! (He didn’t want it to cover his ears.) This was a bittersweet trip for me, knowing that this chapter was almost pau. Somehow it almost felt like Laura was still here so long as her stuff was still here. Maybe that sounds lolo, but that’s how I felt. I’d be donating a huge bunch of her fiber to others; I knew that’s what she would’ve wanted us to do.

This is Cody, Laura and Tom’s beautiful Sheltie. He kept me company while I was getting the rest of the stuff together and Nolemana and Tom were loading my car.

After Nolemana and I left Tom’s place, we headed home, and I made a side trip so that I could take pīpī photos for AFK. They look so relaxed in the lovely Oregon countryside.

We headed back alongside the golf course through the tree tunnel.

Along SE Dowty Road, by the Bonnie Lure Recreation Area, we crossed over Eagle Creek.
Construction has started on the carriage house just down the road from us.
Oh, how I love evening views like this!

Yep, I voted today.
Keola licking the yogurt container. He loves yogurt!

May 9th

Brunch at Heidi’s in Gresham; I got these blintzes and they lasted me for 3 more meals!
The water wheel outside Heidi’s.
Daily hummingbird.

May 10th

My friend went to Mexico for a month, and she brought back this tray of rocks and shells and sea glass she found on the beach there to show us at Da Gathering.
Nani da clouds!
Daily hummingbird.

Mahaloz fo da pīpī pitchas! The last two weeks have been difficult, and I appreciate your thinking of me. I love all the picture of the two hummers not fighting and feeding together. And, of course, I always love kitty photos. Sending hugs to you.

Oh sista, I’m sorry your last two weeks have been so hard. I think of you so often, and am sending you huge hugs. I’m glad the pīpī pics helped. I love the companionship hummer photos, too.
