We had a huge rainstorm last night and today. This is the usually quiet creek along Sunshine Valley Rd.
The water was pouring out of the drainage pipes at our neighbors’ place.

Our own private waterfall.
Whoo hoo! ʻEkolu deer in the pasture!! The third one’s kinda hard to spot.

Let’s start the foggy morning off with a robin’s song greeting the day.

There’s still some snow on the ground on this cold, foggy, morning.

I love seeing the fog over the valley!
Today at his request, I went with Jenni over to Laura and Tom’s house to help organize and price all of her spinning and knitting stuff. The last time I was here, Laura was still alive. I was happy to help; it seemed so strange that Laura wasn’t here…but maybe, in some way, she was.
This is a lovely washed fleece. Laura had labelled everything, which really made our job so much easier.
Laura had some beautiful fibers. This is carded wool.
And this wool that hasn’t been carded yet.

It was a bittersweet time for all three of us. Laura loved knitting and spinning so much, and though we know her stash will go to good homes (we’ll be having a sale later), it was still a sad day in many ways.

Old barn on my way home.
It’s always good to see the mountain on my way home. We got a lot done, but there was still more to do.

Oh, Moki-chan, you are such a good friend. Bless you for the work you’re doing to help Tom.

I really like the moody clouds and hummer photo from 3/11. And I always love seeing pix of your pōpoki!

    Wow, so much rain.

    • Mokihana says:

Aww… mahalo nui, my sista. I do hope the sale goes well; he really wants to get rid of everything, since he doesn’t spin, knit, or weave.

It still is a challenge to get the daily hummers… I’m always happy when they perch for awhile.
