2017 Tour de Fleece: Pau

Well, I didn’t get as involved with the TdF as I’ve been in the past; just too much going on every day. But I did manage to watch a bunch of it on TV.

But this is what I did get done. First, I spun this yarn and got it put onto two shuttle bobbins, ready for plying.

Next, I began spinning another braid of fiber from FatCatKnits. Then I plied it and have finished yarn!

Then I rescued this wheel at a garage sale. It’s in pretty rough shape, but oh, what a beauty, and very unusual in style. She was made by a man in his 90’s, Martin Finske.

Then I began spinning this luscious colorway, “Beargrass”,  from Raven Ridge Fiber Arts.

I’m really happy with it, too.

I guess I got a fair amount of stuff done after all. And Kalakoa helped me by being nearby when I spun. She worked pretty hard, as you can see.
