March 31 – What is it?

Nolemana and I went up to Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge again today. The weather was perfect. As always, we never know what we’re going to see, and this day was no exception. As we were driving around, we saw several cars stopped alongside the creek looking at something. We pulled in behind one of them, and the man inside told us what we were looking at. We’d never even seen one before… this was a real treat!

Anybody wanna guess what it is? I’ll post the answer in a couple of days.

    Is is an otter?

Given the teeth and the fur, I’d guess a beaver or a nutria.

Not an otter. Not a beaver or nutria. Good guesses, though.

K’den. It’s an Albino Muskrat. I’ve never seen a Muskrat before, never mind an albino one.

Like AFK says, kinda ugly/cool. Wabi sabi.
