They Still Grow

Despite my sadness, the beans still come up.

Despite my crying, the garden still blooms and thrives.

Despite my tears, the tomatoes still grow.

Despite my dark days, the Angel’s Trumpet is still fragrant.

Despite everything, ke Akua still reigns.
