Last fall when Nolemana and I went to Hood River for apples, we stopped by Foothills Yarn and Fiber, as always. He wanted me to knit him a hat, but thought they should always be dark, unnoticeable colors. Ho da boring!
While at Foothills Yarn and Fiber I encouraged him to “get out of the box” and choose something different in yarn. We worked on choices together, I told him to forgetaboutit till after Christmas.
He kinda did; and is actually very pleased with how the hat turned out, and he likes being out of the box! Next time maybe even a red one!
This one he used to stay warm while shoveling snow this morning!
Stay real warm cuz it’s alpaca.
Nice, yeah? And ho da soft!
Great for shoveling snow!
Yes it does look great! And I almost can feel the softness through the picture LOL. Isn’t it a good feeling to see people wear the stuff you make?
Oh, you guys got more snow! I love the color, and it does look so warm.
OH! I needed a hat lidat! I didn’t look nearly as cheerful while I was shovelin da snow! You can see the love between you by his beautiful smile …
Oooh, I like that snow shoveling smile! Nice hat, Moki, and not too wild. Nolemana can wear it without feeling like he’s too conspicuous. Your snow is beautiful! I spent the day knitting at my girl Joy’s in Makiki, pretty close to Tantalus. Warm and sunny, not too hot. But I’d love to see some snow, even if I did have to shovel it…
That’s a pretty lamp you’ve got.
Dat is a really nani hat….love da color! Eh, go make da kine bright orange kine color foa hunting!
It looks great and matches his shirt! Hee, hee … I can picture it now:
“Here’s a warm hat I lovingly made for you, honey. Now go out and start shoveling.” 🙂
LOL My husband wears the “Jayne hat” I designed for him.

Here’s a picture of his hat. He always wears it for shoveling, and for goign to work at the office too!
I think he looks adorable.
