I am in the final stretch on the worship socks, and halfway through the toe decreases on the first sock. I am really happy with the way they’re looking. They will be pau by the end of the week, and then I’ll block them and take more photos. I haven’t yet decided how I’m going to give them to my friend. A week ago “R” saw me across the church parking lot and called out to me, “Hey Moki! How are my socks coming along? Have you picked out the yarn yet?”
Good thing it was dark, yeah. He couldn’t see my face. I called back, “I’m thinking about them!”, which really wasn’t a lie, because I have been thinking about his socks a lot.
I can’t help but wonder what he’ll say when he sees them and tries them on. Will he like them? Will they fit? Will they speak “worship” to him? Will his feet feel like dancing? I hope so, on all counts!
They certainly are coming along. The colors are just great. I actually was inspired by your site to go into a local yarn store. I got to talking to the owner, and we had a great time just talking story. She told me about that they have one on one classes for teaching newbies how to knit. I think I’m going to call her, and try to learn. Aloha!
Wow! I can’t even express how wonderful I feel that you went to a local yarn store (LYS in knitters’ vocabulary) after reading my blog. It feels like spreading the aloha, big time! I am so excited for you…you will love knitting! I am going to enjoy reading your own knitting journey on your blog! Whoo hoo!
Beautiful colors!
