When Vista House was restored lass yea, we had to have one elevata installed in order foa handicapped peeps to be able to get downstairs to da gift shop and da restrooms. Took real engineering, but one was installed dat u cannot even see! It lies flush wit da floor until we raise it to let peeps in. Yestaday it wen get stuck down at da bottom; da door wouldn’t open! Da two peeps insai had to wait about 10 minutes for da door to open. But den, we no could raise da bugga up again, so we had to shut it down. Dat was da first pilikia. Fortunately was kinda late in da day, so was okay.

All da old stones wen get knocked onto da roadway below! Visitors to Vista House wen start to pick dem up outa da way. Somebody called 911. Da wahine in da car was pretty shook up, but not hurt. Da State Parks employee who was at Vista House wen call for back-up from da odda State Parks peeps, including da head honcho who was an hour away. Within 10 minutes, da fire engine wen show up. And soon afta, da ambulance!
Chree Sheriffs wen come, including one who kept insisting dat da car had to be moved right now! But dat was not going happen. Da car wen make one bambucha mess. Was todally stuck on da rocks.
No way of getting out till da tow truck comes.
