Nothing like getting behind. Trying hard to catch up! I don’t know why I’ve been having such a hard time updating this bloggie. It’s been a hard bunch of weeks and lots of appointments and stuff to do doesn’t help. We’re still doing the food deliveries, and I’m glad that grocery stores are helping out to feed needy people and veterans. Oh yeah…it’s Tour de Fleece right now, so I’ve been spending a lot of time at my spinning wheel, too.

“Oh, it’s you. I guess I’ll let you stay there for a little while.”

Chickadees at bath time in our pond.

And, for your viewing pleasure: I had a whole bunch of manu at the pond today!

I’ll bet MANY birds are thankful for your pond this hot, dry season! I often feel bad I don’t have a water feature for them, but know I can’t add one more responsibility to my list. It’s a big job to keep our horses, sheep, chickens, dogs, and cat supplied with food and water, plus the household stuff.
You already have so much to do, Michelle. I don’t know how you manage it all! Plus you have the agility things, too. I do love that we can have the water for the birdies, and totally understand why you can’t take that on, too. ♥
Wow, your first hummingbird photo is terrific. How did you get so close?
I recognize the chickadees in your video, but what is the bird with the black eye stripe? Is that a nuthatch? I loved that video–so peaceful with all of your birds enjoying your pond.
I was outside, and zoomed in with my phone camera. I was surprised she let me get even that close! You’re right… it’s a Nuthatch. Good for you! Did you catch the hummer zooming in and out?
I love our pond, too. So glad it’s enjoyable for the birdies, too.
