365 Days 2024, November 12-20

I’m so far behind so will have to make my posts short in order to catch up. If I ever do. November was a really hard month for me.

November 12th

Daily hummingbird.
Daily hummingbird.
Beautiful sunset!
My winter hat is coming along.

November 13th

Dark-eyed Junco outside the dental hygienist’s office.
At the Eagle Creek Saloon for lunch with friends today. Interesting info!
Non-daily pīpī for AFK. Even now, my eyes automatically go to the pasture, looking for “our” four.

November 14th

Daily hummingbird.
Food delivery day.
It’s a burn day…no houses on fire.
Blue sky puka in the dark clouds.

November 15th

Daily hummingbird.
Awesome clouds on SE Haley Road in Boring.
Hawk looking for a meal on SE Hogan Road.
Another nani sunset.

November 16th

Daily hummingbird.

November 17th

Daily hummingbird.
It’s leaf-falling time.

November 18th

Daily hummingbird.
We still have fall colors.
Crow!

November 19th

Daily hummingbird.

We got Keola’s devastating diagnosis today. He was up at the computer making sure that Dr. Zambelli was right. Sadly, she was.

November 20th

My niece and nephew’s home was destroyed by the windstorm today in Washington State.
Nani sunset. Reminding me that there is always light somewhere.
I’m knitting a lot with Keola nearby. This is a design by Nancy Bates.

  1. Oh my; your niece’s home! 😳😳😳

I know! They’d only been in it for a couple of months…their first home. I’m so grateful that all three of them got out safely.

There is always light somewhere–that is so true.

One of the blessings of birdwatching in the winter is fewer leaves to hide behind.

Aue, your niece’s hale. The bomb cyclone was fierce. My stepdaughter and her family didn’t have power for a week, but at least they had a home to return to.

You’re so right about fewer leaves to see all the birdies in winter. It’s fun to see them more easily for sure.

Yeah, that bomb cyclone was something else. My niece, her husband, and their baby just barely got out with only a few scratches. Now comes the hard part about working with the insurance company so they can rebuild.
