September 26th

Today is my very special friend Nancy’s birthday we’ve been friends forever, and I’m going to devote an entire post to our friendship soon. Hauʻoli lā hānau, my little friend!

A very foggy morning.
I tried to get a photo of the raindrops on the sunflower stem.
Daily sunflowers…poor things.
This is a little better.
Food delivery day.
Daily pīpī.
Waiting to get our Covid/flu vaxxes.

After that, we rewarded ourselves with dinner out.

One of the best burgers we’ve ever had!

After that we headed down to Canby; my spinning guild was meeting and I had a DVD to return. We stayed for a little while, then headed home. And guess what we saw!

I’m not sure why this lonely caboose was sitting there all by itself, but I sure did love seeing it.
Train!
Nolemana even got the engines!

Mt. Hood was so beautiful at sunset;

I never connected with the daily hummingbird today, but thought the sky was pretty tonight.

Today… no pīpī, no daily hummingbird, either. Maybe they were entertaining each other elsewhere? So instead, I give you the amazing Love Lies Bleeding and her keiki. I had no idea that she would get so long!

Daily sunflower.

September 28th

Am I really all caught up?? Finally?? I’ve been thinking about making some changes to this little bloggie so that it doesn’t happen again. I’m not sure what yet…I’ll keep blogging, though!

Daily hummingbird looking like he has two beaks…or a horn. Early morning…I woke up too early. This isn’t sunset.

Whimsey. Nolemana left his Seahawks cap on the bin, and I thought it looked like Kermit da Frog. LOL.

Just for AFK…I couldn’t resist kakaroaching this image.

My Kahili Ginger is in full bloom; I wish you guys could smell it. It’s so sweet and wonderful! Definitely reminding me of home.

Four o’ Clocks and Love Lies Bleeding at sunset. The Four o’ Clocks have a sweet aroma, too.
Daily pīpī.

Here are a few sunset photos. The sun is so much further south than it used to be.

Pīpī and sunset, a peaceful time.

Mt. Hood is looking devastatingly bare; I’ve noticed that from here also. Hope it gets a good snowpack going again soon!

Of COURSE I love that cowmooflage photo–mahaloz for posting it! Once I’m done with today’s housecleaning project, I’ll have to email you a photo of cowmooflage that happens in my house.

Wow, those are gorgeous sunset photos. Bonus train sighting! Good on your for getting your vaxxes–we got ours on the 24th. LOL Kermit! (I’m glad to hear Nolemana is a ‘Hawks fan.)
