365 Days 2024, April 16-20

April 16th

SE Bohna Park Road, on my way to get a haircut. The mustard is so pretty; Carol would have loved seeing this. I miss her so much.

At Roxane’s house, where I get my hair cut, a mama robin was protecting her nest. I moved slowly and was very quiet.

I think this is one of the best robin photos I’ve ever taken.

I went back to Big Valley Woods to take dinner to my friend again.

April 17th

Four daily pīpī.
Nani nā pua at The Gathering today.
View from my friend’s house.
One daily hummingbird.

Then look what happened!! The Rufous Hummingbirds are back! (Only the Annas stick around all winter.) Hummingbird photos to da max.

Then: Oh my gosh!!!!! ʻEkolu daily hummingbirds!!!!

April 18th

Early morning daily pīpī.
Bunny in da grass.
Food delivery day.
Pōpoki in da sun.
Daily hummingbird.

April 19th

Daily pīpī.
Musubi celebrating with me. Wow. This kawila has made a trip to Montana and has served us faithfully for all the holoholo we’ve done for the past eleven years.

So she definitely deserved to have a trip through the car wash.

April 20th

Daily hummingbird.

Three of us friends got together for some knitting time today. This is my friend’s cat, Amber. She graced me with her presence for a bit. Then she investigated my knitting bag.

    Your robin photo is outstanding. I love, love, love your snooooozy pōpoki in the sun. I don’t remember who said it’s impossible to be tense while looking at sleeping cats, and I agree with him/her. I’m amazed that your three hummers were peaceful enough so you could get a photo of all of them! I laughed at your “car wash aurora borealis”–so clever!
