I’m on an earring kick; fell in love with these from Court Street Journals. She makes them out of discarded books! They’re not gigantic… these look big because I took a closeup.

Another example of not being able to choose a favorite daily hummingbird photo.

Da daily pīpī.

And for the rest of the day, a multitude of daily hummingbird photos. Because you know…

So cool how the light is shining through his wings!

I’ve been watching the Big Bear Eagle Cam. The eggs are due to hatch in about two weeks.

It was amazing to watch this during the last horrendous snowstorm. Jackie sat on the eggs for 62 hours!

The cattle are very entertaining!
They sure are! Far more entertaining than I thought they’d be when we first got them.
Hahahahahahahahaha–did the pīpī think the FedEx truck was Jake with grindz? Thank you for introducing me to the Big Bear Valley eagles! What a good parent–sitting on a frigid nest for 62 hours.
Did I ever tell you about the peregrine falcon cam in Seattle? The cam is usually on only when there’s a falcon during nesting season, but apparently one of the falcons (don’t know if it’s male or female–probably the latter) didn’t migrate this year because I saw it all winter long Anyway, you can watch the parents incubate the eggs then feed the keiki after they hatch. You can even watch them fledge, which is always amazing. I used to work in a building a couple of blocks away, and we’d occasionally see the fledglings test their wings. https://1201third.info/main.cfm?sid=oservices&pid=falcons
Yes! I heard them bawling and got concerned. I took the photo first, then when I saw da FedEx truck going down the driveway I knew they thought it was Jake when they first saw it. Hence the bawling. So I whipped out my phone and took the video. Too funny!!
So glad you like the Big Bear Valley eagle. I’m really enjoying watching them And mahalo nui for the link to the peregrine falcon cam! I’m gonna check it out right away.
