Chrowback Wednesday

I wrote this post ‘way back in 2005. I’ve been feeling really homesick lately, and it helps to go back to my hanabata days when life was a lot more carefree and happy. I hope you folks enjoy it.

I get antsy for Hawai`i too in January and February when it takes me so long to get dressed in the morning with multiple layers so I can keep warm. I never did ti-sliding when I was a kid, but I did go net fishing in local streams in Kahalu`u with boys in my ‘hood. Simpler times, simpler pleasures. Hugs to you, Moki-chan.

Fishing in Kahaluʻu streams sounds wonderful. Much simpler times, yah? Reminds me of “me ke aloha kuʻu home o Kahaluʻu”…♪♫♪
