December 7th

I can never write this date without thinking of Pearl Harbor Day, knowing my parents watched the bombing from their tiny house up Tantalus. It was a terrifying time for them, because the radio reports indicated that the attackers may have landed. Dad was ready with his bayonet in case that was true. They lived through the blackout days, and rationing, and I wish they’d talked more about it. But I digress.

Can you see the daily hummingbird? His gorget is showing!
It was snowing hard in Skykomish last night.
Food deliveries. We had choke asparagus today.
Daily pīpī. Bessie is such a good mom.
Four daily pīpī. Couldn’t leave Lani Moo out!
Hahahaha. Any guesses?
Results of the atmospheric river.
I made this goose for my mom years ago. Just got her out of storage today.
Beautiful evening sky.

December 8th

Daily hummingbird.
Daily pīpī.
I knit these for my Gathering friends years ago.
Lovely foggy sunset tonight.

December 9th

Daily hummingbird.
Not sure why Kalakoa felt she had to stay in the corner; she wasn’t bad.
Daily pīpī…Bessie.
I finished knitting these handwarmers for our wonderful vet.

Tomorrow gets its own post, because ho da drama!! Cow kine.

Moki-chan, you’re so talented. Did you sew that holiday goose? Is that velvet/velveteen? I make some cards using a fortune cookie stamp with a real fortune stuck inside, but your 3-D sembei is waaaay beyond my skill set. And mahalo fo da cow on da plow! That made me laugh so loud that G asked what was going on!
