365 Days 2023, Numbah Forty-Nine, continued

July 13th, continued.

Yep, you’re right, AFK! Bessie and her daughter, Mama, broke though a weak part of the fence this morning. Nolemana woke me up at 6:30 to let me know about it.

Daily pīpī. The calf wasn’t happy that his mom was on the other side of the fence, but Bessie and her daughter we unconcerned.
This is where they broke through the fence.
“Mommy!!!!”

Bessie had been right up by our lower lānai and even though we hollered at them, they wouldn’t leave where they thought the grass was much better than anywhere else in the entire pasture. So I suggested that Nolemana squirt them with the hose. He wasn’t sure it’d work, but agreed to try it.

Mama went over the fence fairly soon, but Bessie didn’t. She wasn’t too concerned about the water at first, but then agreed to leave. She thought about trying to get over the fence right here, but then she changed her mind and moved over to the left, where she finally went back into the pasture. I didn’t get a video of that, though. And no, even though a friend of mine suggested it, that wasn’t Nolemana going shi shi! LOL.
Together again. Whew. Drama pau for today.
Kalakoa looking cute.
Food deliveries must go on.
Daily hummingbird with Keola tail photobomb.
Jake and Sara came over in the evening to replace the broken fence.
Outside photo of the daily hummingbird.
Daily hummingbird with her shadow.
Jake fixed another part of the fence down at the lower edge of the pasture!

Pīpī drama is da only kine drama I’m interested in. Human-kine drama is too much drama. Bessie seemed to enjoy the water–Nolemana was running a cow wash! Keola’s tail photobomb made me LOL. Kalakoa is such a prrrrrrrrrrrretty cat.

  2. Hello.
It’s heartwarming to see how Mama and Bessie were reunited after their fence adventure! The daily hummingbird photos are absolutely adorable as well.
    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much for stopping by, Michelle! I’m so glad you like the photos. The baby, now named Hōkū, is now a lot bigger and she’s almost all black. It’s so much fun seeing her grow.
