365 Days, Numbah Twenty-Nine

I am so far behind I can’t believe it. I don’t have Zoom meetings on Saturdays anymore, at least for now, so I’ll use that time to try and get caught up.

June 1st

Daily hummingbird contemplating the feeder.
Mt Hood from Scouters Mountain Park where The Gathering met today.
Summer flowers in the green grass.
I worked on untangling today. What a mess. But it’s easier with friends around.
Lupine and Teasel at the entrance to the park. Teasel used to be used to card wool…did you know that?
Gorgeous Rhododendron where I went to pick up kitty meds from my vet.
Visiting Mourning Dove.

June 2nd

Flower baskets where we pick up the food for deliveries.
All loaded up for deliveries. We never know what we’ll get each week. This week, there was lots of yogurt and lettuce and other goodies. Big bags of masa flour, too.
The motley crew doing food delivery sorting.
Lots of lettuce, bread, yogurt, various meats, and spuds today.
Heading down our driveway for deliveries. Lots of cottonwood fluff coming down. And nope, I don’t spin it!
This was my route today.
We had to get two new water heaters and a toilet. This is a great company to work with.
The Clematis is blooming!
Daily hummingbird before sunset.
Wings moving so fast it almost doesn’t look like he has any!

June 3rd

Daily hummingbird.
Beautiful Western Tanager.
We get the chance to win a prize for posting this sign. Hoping!
Eh. Watchu lookin’ at? Scrub Jay.
He’s trying to steal suet from my feeder. I don’t want him to. He chases away the smaller birds.

June 4th

Really sad daily hummingbird photo. It’s all I could get today.
So talented me. Slicing bananas into my granola and they landed like this.

June 5th

Daily hummingbird. Can you see him? Nope. That’s because he never showed up.
But the view was pretty.
Daddy Tanager feeding his son. Sorry so blurry…they move so fast!

Lovely, as ever! And now you get to add “expert banana slice stacker” to your resume?!! So good to see Mt. Hood with so much snow still! oxoxo

Thank you! Well, I can’t say I’m an expert because it happened by accident!
I’m glad there’s still so much snow on the mountain.

I’ve heard ads for Apollo Plumbing in Seattle. I wonder if it’s the same company. Glad to know you got good service from them. Hope you win the contest!
Thanks to you, I learned what teasel is. I’ve *seen* them on my walks but never knew what they were. Thanks for the education, Moki-chan!

I think they’re just Portland/Vancouver metro area. And yeah, I’m glad we found a good plumber, too. I hope I win too! I”m glad you liked the teasel info… it’s very very poky and hard to handle, so I really admire people who used to use it…and maybe some still do.
