My gym’s manager was borrowing it to take his daughter and her friends to the prom. It can hold 4 quads on da top.Oh my. It’s a Lincoln, by da way.Beautiful Dogwood at my dentist’s.

This was a special day. My friend Kerrie Hubbard is an absolutely amazing artist, and she designed the wrap for the brand new mobile library for the City of Estacada, a bit southeast of me. Today was the day we celebrated Kerrie’s wonderful talent and the launch of the bookmobile. First off, a bunch of us met for brunch at Harmony 1984, in Estacada.
Kerrie did a lot of the artwork on the side of the building!Yummy to da max Banana French Toast at Harmony in Estacada.This is all Kerrie’s artwork!And this is my special friend, Kerrie, who designed the artwork for the entire van.See da kitty? That’s Kerrie’s beloved cat, Truman.Story time!Isn’t Kerrie a fabulous artist?Inside, there’s bookshelves and even a computer station with wi-fi.Awesome, yeah? The bookmobile will be traveling about 550 miles on its route all over Clackamas County.I went inside the main library, and was so pleased to see this, celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. I immediately borrowed ‘Ohana Means Family. It’s a beautifully illustrated book celebrating family. I encourage you to buy or borrow it; I think younger readers will especially enjoy it. And of course, watch Moana if you haven’t yet.Also at the library!My sweet friend, Carol, would have loved to have been there. I had this bracelet made special at Joy Sparks Designs, and wore it in her memory. I felt like she was with me the whole day. In Hawaiian, hoaloha means “beloved companion”.This is not a daily hummingbird. But this is!

Daily hummingbird.I love having the Western Tanagers around. There are two pairs in the garden this year.Visitors to the pasture. There were four of them but one was behind the tree.And off he goes…
Love, love, love these photos. I need to look more closely at birds I think are Spotted Towhees in my ‘hood–they might be Black-Headed Grosbeaks!!! I saw my first Western Tanagers a couple of weeks ago. They are sooooo beautiful.
I think that’s a cow playing the bass on Kerrie’s bookmobile design. I love it, of course.

You’re very observant!! Yes, I moved a couple of feeders around. The “lantern” one used to be outside my office, so did the pineapple one. Now the pineapple one’s outside the kitchen and the lantern one outside the bedroom with their favorite one that’s always been there.
I hope you have Black-Headed Grosbeaks! Their song is much like a robin’s, and so beautiful! And I’m so happy you saw the Tanagers!
